2/28/2026 – Long Time, No…Post
Hello! I’ve finally dug myself out of the mountain of work that piled up during some large blows to my personal/family life last year. Thank you to everyone who has been so patient and kind about the delays and my forgetfulness.
All four of the Seasons of Romantasy series have been released. If you’re looking for some seasonal romance with lots of swoon and to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities, definitely grab a copy of each of those.
So, what does that mean for the Q&F anthologies for 2026? Well, I’m glad you asked! Our Obsidian imprint is currently in the process of working up a delightfully frightful anthology about snowmen. Keep an eye on the Quill & Flame IG page for information about submissions and updates on the Winter Chiller anthology. Submissions open March 23, 2026.
The service dogs anthology is still on hold for the time being until I can work out all of the kinks. However, we do have another anthology brewing, so be watching for info on that.

Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, the military K9 and service dogs anthology must be postponed until a later date. We truly appreciate everyone’s submissions and the beautiful stories that have been submitted, and we would love for you to resubmit your work once submissions open up again for this anthology. Once we have a date for that, we will be sure to announce it. So sorry for the inconvenience!
9/5/2025 – Welcome to the World, Seasons of Romantasy: Autumn!
This beauty was released into the wild yesterday. Volume three of the Seasons of Romantasy series is available for purchase. It’s a hefty lady, too, at 376 pages, jam-packed with full color images and fantastic stories. The listings on Amazon are currently split between ebook and paperback, but they’re both available for purchase now.
8/5/2025 – Submissions Open for the First Anthology of 2026!
Submissions are open for our service dogs and military K-9 anthology. Guidelines are listed above. We’re looking for short stories and original artwork related to service dogs and their veterans (or emergency responders) and active-duty servicemembers and their K-9 companions. They can be fiction or based on a true story, and while we do love romance here at Q&F, it’s not strictly required for this anthology. Submissions close on October 1, 2025.

7/14/2025 – Seasons of Romantasy: Autumn Cover Reveal and New Anthology Announcement!
The cover for Seasons of Romantasy: Autumn was revealed on July 8. Isn’t it gorgeous? This third volume in our Seasons of Romantasy anthology series will be released on September 4, 2025.
The theme for the first anthology to be released next year will be… Military K9s and service dogs for veterans. We are SO excited for this anthology! Submissions for short stories and original artwork will open on August 4, 2025. Information about guidelines will be released at that time as well.
6/17/2025 – Seasons of Romantasy: Summer and more!
A big, belated Happy Release Day to Seasons of Romantasy: Summer! It’s now available for purchase and is also on Kindle Unlimited! Information about Autumn and Winter will be coming soon.
2026 is going to be an exciting one for anthologies. Be on the lookout for the announcement of the first of TWO themes for next year!
April 10, 2025 – Lots of Updates!
I’m a bit behind on my updates… My apologies! Most importantly, Seasons of Romantasy: Spring is now available!
Next up is this gorgeous cover for Seasons of Romantasy: Summer! Preorders are open, and this beauty will be released on June 5, 2025.
Edits in all stages are keeping me on my toes these days, but they’re all coming along quite nicely. And these authors have been outstanding. I have the best job, truly.
February 21, 2025 – Seasons of Romantasy: Spring Cover Reveal!
Yesterday, we revealed this stunning cover for our first volume in the four-volume series, Seasons of Romantasy. Preorders are open for Seasons of Romantasy: Spring as well. Release day for this beauty is March 20, 2025.
November 22, 2024 – Fun Updates!
As noted above, Seasons of Romantasy will be published in four volumes. So exciting! Edits are moving along beautifully for Spring and Summer, and I’ll be beginning Autumn edits very soon.
In other news, Quill & Flame Publishing House and I were thrilled to announce last week that I am now the Director of Anthologies. Or as I have dubbed myself, Queen of Anthologies. I am honored and overjoyed at the opportunity to continue to bring more beautiful stories and artwork to the world and be able to support charities in the process.

January 31, 2024 – Dual Anthologies!
Because we had so many amazing submissions for Tails, Scales, and Tiaras, we decided to publish TWO anthologies. Tails, Scales, and Tiaras will still be the first to be published and will consist of dragons and creatures who mainly live on land. Preorders for Tails, Scales, and Tiaras are now live. Release Day is June 18, 2024.
Creatures, Crowns, and Curses will regale us with tales of sea beings and curses of all types. CC&C will tentatively be released in October 2024.
All proceeds from the sale of Tails, Scales, and Tiaras and Creatures, Crowns, and Curses will go to the Hair For All Foundation. Feel free to follow Hair For All on Facebook for their most recent activity.
General Anthology Information and Guidelines
Our anthologies each support a charity organization. As such, all proceeds are donated to the selected charity for each anthology, so not only are the authors having their work published, they’re also helping to support a worthy cause!
Quill & Flame retains the rights to all stories published in each anthology for six [6] months after publication. After that time, all story rights revert to the author.
General Anthology Guidelines:
- Word count of approximately 5,000 (or less) words is preferred
- PG-13 or cleaner
- YA/NA protagonist between the ages of 15 and 24 is preferred
- Art submissions that fit the guideline criteria are welcomed
- No poetry, please
- Romance is not strictly required but is strongly encouraged
Not Required but Strongly Suggested Guidelines:
- Header with author name, story title, and page number
- 12pt font–Times New Roman, Arial, or something similar
- Double spaced
- Scene break of three asterisks (***)
